We’re looking for a passionate female instructor to join our team at Langkawi Scuba, a PADI 5-star DiveResort, situated on the beautiful island Langkawi in Malaysia.

Position: female PADI OWSI

Language Requirement: fluent English

Previous Experience : Worked as a dive professional, with either teaching experience or limited visibility experience. Teamteaching experience.

Duration: Oct till March  (including major holidays during that period)

Daily Dives: 2-3 dives per day with a 2:1 ratio

Focus: Open Water courses, Discover Scuba Diving, and Fun Dives with refreshers

We’re looking for enthusiastic, safety-minded PADI Dive Instructors to lead daily dive trips and teach everyone from first-time Discover Scuba Divers to Divemaster candidates. Experienced instructors and newly certified pros alike are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Guide certified divers and snorkelers on daily boat trips (gear prep, guest assistance, equipment cleaning, tank fills)
• Teach Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Refresher, Rescue Diver, and other PADI courses
• Run dive-site, safety, and conservation briefings and post-dive debriefs
• Prepare paperwork/course materials and process students through PADI
• Review waivers and medical forms
• Perform first-mate duties (docking, mooring, anchoring, emergency procedures)
• Fill tanks and assist with equipment rentals
• Safely guide divers to and from stationary dive sites
• Help maintain boats, equipment, and dive areas

Schedule & Lifestyle
Open 365 days/year; holidays are peak season. Typical day: ~7:30 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional half days. Trips are mostly two-tank dives, plus weekly night dives and three-tank wreck trips. Full-time crew work 40–50 hrs/week depending on season.

Qualifications

• Current PADI OWSI certification (active)
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Able to pass random drug screenings (Coast Guard compliance)
• Able to stand for long periods outdoors in a marine environment
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Able to bend, squat, climb ladders, and move safely around boats/docks
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated, dependable team player
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

No instruction experience? No problem — if you’re a newly certified OWSI with the right attitude, we’ll train you. Instructors cover their own annual PADI membership and drug consortium fees.

As a diving instructor you need to have experience and enjoy teaching courses from beginners upwards to all ages and nationalities and also guiding experience.

You will also be expected to provide office assistance, including (but not limited to ) : Dealing with customer enquiries, taking payments, scheduling and cover for owner vacations etc.

You must be a team player with a sunny disposition, a can-do attitude and be able to gel with others. Someone who enjoys and actively seeks out customer interaction and has good sales skills.

Tenemos un equipo de trabajo muy cálido y vivirás en un lugar hermoso como lo es Capurganá, Chocó.

Tendrás un sueldo base fijo de $1.000.000 COP + comisiones por DSD y Fun Dives.

Tendrás casa compartida con el equipo en habitación privada.

Las responsabilidades del Divemaster son:

-Responsable del llenado de tanques

-Responsable de la limpieza y mantenimiento de la piscina.

-Instrucción / Enseñanza de los minicursos de buceo y otros servicios en cumplimiento de los estándares y políticas de PADI para ello.

-Hacerse cargo de la logística necesaria para la ejecución correcta de los cursos dictados y los asuntos relacionados con sus alumnos.

-Estar presente en el centro de buceo cuando es necesario atender clientes y guiarlos en la compra de servicios.

-llevar y traer los tanques del centro de buceo al bote.

-Impartir enseñanza en la piscina a huéspedes del hostal que estén interesados en nuestros servicios de buceo.

-Asistir en el proceso de ventas cuando los clientes visitan el centro de buceo.

-Hacer lavado de los equipos de buceo después de cada inmersión y

-El instructor y Divemaster es responsable de la entrega y recepción del equipo de buceo. Debe reportar los daños que evidencie o que ocurran durante su instrucción, de lo contrario debe asumir un costo por daño no natural de equipos.

-Visitar los hoteles de Capurganá de manera periódica con el fin de promocionar nuestros servicios de buceo.

-Por consecución de clientes nuevos (que no hayan sido contactados por el centro de buceo antes) por parte del instructor, éste tendrá comisión de $15.000 por cada buzo.

El horario de trabajo en el centro de buceo es de 8:00 am a 5:00 pm aproximadamente y tendrás un día de descanso en la semana que se coordina de acuerdo al trabajo.

PADI DIVEMASTER INTERNSHIP in SRI LANKA with DIVINGURU!!

Key responsibilities

• Lead scuba diving and snorkeling tours charters safely and professionally
• Guide certified divers and lead snorkeling groups with high operational confidence and safety
• Conduct dive briefings, gear setups, and guest safety demonstrations prior to water entry
• Uphold rigorous safety management procedures to protect passengers and crew at all times

• Assist in deck hand duties, boat launches, and gear handling during beach entries at The Pass, Byron Bay
• Maintain and care for dive gear, scuba tanks, and compressor systems

About you

• Already in the area or readily available
• PADI Divemaster or PADI Instructor qualification
• Experience in the marine tourism industry required
• Expertise in assessing ocean conditions, ocean currents, and dive site safety
• Solid experience guiding divers and snorkelers in varied open-water conditions
• Experience in fast paced, high pressure situations
• Active PADI membership in good standing with professional dive insurance
• Strong commitment to passenger safety and safety management procedures
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a tourism-focused team
• Current first aid, CPR, advanced resuscitation, Occupational dive medical, professional dive insurance, and other relevant commercial marine certifications (or willing to obtain)
• Can-do attitude, reliable and professional approach, and flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
• Valid Driver’s License and experience with manual (stick shift) cars
