Key Responsibilities

• Conduct PADI Freediver, Advanced Freediver, and specialty freediving courses in accordance with PADI standards.
• Deliver classroom, confined-water, and open-water training sessions.
• Ensure the highest levels of safety and risk management during all activities.
• Evaluate student performance and process certifications.
• Provide pre-dive briefings and post-dive debriefings.
• Maintain and inspect freediving equipment.
• Assist with organizing freediving events, workshops, and trips.
• Promote freediving courses and contribute to customer engagement and retention.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation.

Requirements

• Current PADI Freediver Instructor certification.
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Provider certifications.
• Strong knowledge of freediving techniques, safety procedures, and rescue skills.
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
• Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching PADI Freediver courses.
• Experience in dive center operations.
• Additional PADI professional certifications.

Location: Nosy Komba, Madagascar

The Madagascar Research and Conservation Institute (MRCI) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PADI Instructor to join our team for a 4-month contract during our busy season.

MRCI is a marine conservation and volunteer organisation based on the island of Nosy Komba, Madagascar, working in marine research, coral restoration, turtle conservation, and environmental education.

Responsibilities:

• Teach PADI courses
• Guide certified divers
• Assist with marine conservation surveys and coral restoration activities
• Support volunteer training and marine education
• Assist with daily dive centre operations and equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI)
• Current medical certificate
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a remote island environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small team

Dive Kauai is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center located on the South Shore of Kauai, Hawaii, USA.  We provide scuba diving services to several of the major resorts on the island.  We offer: Shore Dives, Boat Dives, Twilight/Night Dives and Scooter (DPV)Dives along with PADI OW, AOW, Rescue/EFR and DM Courses year round.

HOUSING CAN BE PROVIDED DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY
