Epic Ocean Adventures is a PADI 5* ​IDC Dive Resort located in Trincomalee, east coast of Sri Lanka, which has been operating locally for 9 years. We are a medium sized, family run operation and recently moved into a new place. We are the only local ​certified​ PADI5* ​IDC Dive Resort in Trincomalee.

Location:
We dive in Dutch Bay of Trincomalee. This place offers some of the best diving spots in the entire Sri Lanka. The crystal-clear waters, good visibility, 29 degrees of water. Rock formations, caves, swim through, temple debris, underwater museum, shipwrecks and marine life makes this place the top voted diving destination for this part of the world.

Candidate requirements:

If you are a friendly, helpful and service oriented personality who is looking for serious, high-quality training and diving in small groups whilst willing to improve and learn about the diving industry, join our team!

– 21 – 40 years old

– Available for a min ​2-3 months period

– PADI Rescue Diver or PADI Master Scuba Diver (or equivalent)

– Responsible, self-contained and serious about diving

– Prepared for long days during high season and have a more flexible schedule in low season.

– Excellent swimming skills

– Fluent in English + one additional language (Spanish/German​/Russian/Dutch)

– Enjoy socializing with clients

– Adept at social media

– Have a health medical statement (not exceeding 6 months)

Program Overview & Schedule

Duration: The internship is a comprehensive four-month program designed to give you hands-on, real-world experience in a busy dive centre.

Working Hours: Your day-to-day hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in alignment with our dive centre’s opening hours.

Time Off: You will receive six scheduled days off per month to rest, explore, and recharge. We will create a volunteer/intern schedule to ensure everyone gets their well-deserved downtime.

What We Offer (In Return for Your Hard Work)

Free Divemaster Training: We completely waive the instructor and training fees for your Divemaster course (which usually costs $1,080 USD).

Accommodation & Meals: You will receive shared accommodation, as well as breakfast and lunch on your working days.

Household Essentials: We supply basic home comforts for your accommodation, including tea, coffee, sugar, and cooking oil.

Course Prerequisites & PADI Fees

Rescue & EFR Certifications: If you are not yet Rescue & EFR certified, you can complete these with us at a heavily discounted rate (if you already hold these certifications, feel free to ignore this part!):

Rescue Course: $195 USD (50% off our standard $390 USD rate)

EFR Course: $85 USD (50% off our standard $170 USD rate)

PADI Materials & Membership: You will be responsible for purchasing the PADI e-learning/theory materials (approximately 170 AUD) and paying your final PADI Membership fee at the end of your training (approximately 260 AUD). Please note that PADI occasionally adjusts these fees yearly, which is outside of our control.
