A PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in Havelock Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is looking for PADI Divemasters and Instructors with sales experience that thrive under fast paced sales oriented work. The dive center is centrally located on the island with walking access to shore dives and easy access for entry and exit of the boat. It is a beach front property with a swimming pool that is used for confined sessions. On-site classroom, changing rooms, compressor and technician rooms and a front office booking room are all available for use. We prioritize safety and use PADI standard protocols for operations. We put a lot of importance in creating lasting memories for our diving guests by using high end adventure cameras and documenting their activities with us.

We’re looking for instructors with significant sales and marketing experience. You could be a new instructor with few certifications but have immense sales experience, send in an email.

Job Role:

• Guiding discover scuba diving participants as well as video documenting their dive experience (you will be doing either one of the tasks at a time)
• Guiding/ leading certified divers including night dives.
• Teaching/ Assisting on PADI courses.
• Teaching/ Assisting on PADI pro level courses.
• Logistic/ admin support
• Active sales and marketing shifts.

Requirements:

• Indian Citizen
• Active status PADI Divemaster and PADI Instructors
• Relevant sales experience
• Ability to work full day in shifts both mornings and evenings.

The sales element involves introducing potential customers to diving for the first time. We are the largest dive operation on the island of Kauai, with a full retail location, two boats, and over 15 employees. We are open 7 days a week, year round, with several peak seasons throughout the year.

For Instructors:

Your primary role would be to serve as a PADI Dive Instructor and dive guide for our boat and shore dives. The perfect candidate would be a PADI Professional who is willing and interested in teaching courses, guiding dives and has some experience in front of house operations, marketing and sales.  The position requires a professional, self-motivated person – a problem solver who is pro-active with excellent communication and people skills. The successful applicant will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to lead and motivate a team, while bringing enthusiasm and fun to the work environment. You must be able to fulfill many roles, including but not limited to administrative duties, front of house operations, retail sales, guiding and teaching.

Ideally at least with MSDT rating or above. However, we will also consider OWSI with experience. You should be calm, experienced, safe, flexible, and understand that our guests are our top priority. We are looking for team players that would never use the phrase “that’s not my job” when asked to do something. We would expect you to have the utmost integrity and always do your best.

A normal workday consists of the possibility of 2-morning dives, 2-afternoon dives, and/or a night dive. The typical day is usually 5 to 8 hours. A normal workweek is 40 hours for our full-time crew.

You must have familiarity and some experience with ocean vessels and be familiar with the duties of a mate such as mooring or docking a vessel, standard diving and maritime emergency procedures, as well as safely managing shore dive operations.
