We are actively seeking an active captain (Full-time or Part-time) with strong leadership, professionalism, and a passion for teamworking and mentoring. You’ll be joining a legacy dive team with a global reputation and the highest pay scale in the Hawaiian Islands.

❗ POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid U.S. work visa (We do not sponsor visas)
• 1-year minimum commitment
• Minimum 2 years of Captain professional experience
• Must hold an active Valid EFR, AED, O2 certification credentials (within the last 2 years)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holidays

💼 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

W2:

• Captain: $32+/hr (DOE and performance)

🔧 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prep the charter and ensure completion of pre-check log, Emergency equipment, and readings
• Mentor and coach dive staff in professionalism, safety, and guest interaction
• Audit dive gear setups and assist divers before and after water, uphold training standards, and maintain accurate records
• Conduct daily dive charters, including setup, briefings, onboard leadership, and cleanup
• Be a workflow-proficient captain, able to manage mixed groups (certified divers, students, DSDs)
• Support customer service both in-shop and on vessels
• Participate in safety drills, weekly staff meetings, and operational planning
• Represent Waikiki Dive Center’s values and aloha spirit at all times

• Comfortable working with diverse guests, multicultural backgrounds, and group dynamics
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills—direct, respectful, and clear
• Committed to safety, quality, and professionalism in every aspect of dive operations
• Able to manage high-volume schedules during holidays and peak tourism months
• Passionate about marine conservation and responsible tourism
• Bilingual or multilingual is a strong plus (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, etc.)
