Pura Vida Divers has been a staple of the South Florida community for over two decades. As a PADI 5-star Career Development Center, we meet the highest requirements for training PADI divers in a premiere travel destination. We offer guests a premium experience with daily scuba charters aboard two USCG certified vessels, scuba instruction from beginner through professional, and a full service facility featuring retail sales, equipment service, rentals, and a comprehensive fill station.  Our love of diving, the ocean, conservation, education, and community inspires us every day to offer the best possible experience to our guests.

Overview

The Marketing Specialist works under the direction of the Director of Marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies that showcase Pura Vida Divers as a 5-star legacy brand in a premiere travel destination. They will execute organic social media campaigns, manage and build online web content, increase brand awareness through email and text marketing, coordinate influencer visits, develop community partnerships, and support special events. 

Reports to: The Director of Marketing and Pura Vida Diver’s Management Team  

Requirements:

Actively certified as a PADI Divemaster or higher. Local diving experience is a bonus.

Must be legally able to work in the United States.

Exemplary written and communication skills are essential.

Must be self motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Must have experience managing professional content on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and YouTube.

Experience with WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Photo & video editing skills are a bonus.

Experience with Google Workspace, Constant Contact (or other email marketing platforms), Loomly (or other social media scheduling software) preferred.

Highly organized and efficient with time management.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and schedule strategic social media content to increase brand awareness in local and visiting markets. Provide quarterly analytics reporting to analyze effectiveness and identify trends.

2. Update current website content and create new content as needed, meeting SEO and readability targets.

3. Create graphics for monthly events, classes, and professional programs following brand guidelines.

4. Craft monthly and promotional email marketing campaigns. Assist in the implementation of text based marketing. Provide regular analytics reporting to measure campaign success. 

5. Draft press releases and maintain media contacts.

6. Support strategic partnerships with community brands, conservation allies, and tourism development organizations. Coordinate influencer visits and lead in-water activities.

7. Support special events, sales department, and reservations department, as needed. 

Location & Commitments

  • Ability to commute / relocate to the Palm Beaches area, South Florida.
  • Permanent full time position
  • Weekend & holiday shifts required
  • Support of the dive equipment sold through the shop required
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
