Job Title: Captain / Dive Instructor

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Head Captain / Dive Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is a skilled boat captain, a passionate Padi dive professional, and a customer service superstar who thrives in a leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while exploring the vibrant underwater world of St. Croix.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain Blue Salt Divers vessels with safety and efficiency (or willing to be trained)
• Lead and organize daily dive trips, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
• Conduct scuba diving courses, including entry-level to professional certifications, according to training agency standards.
• Oversee the maintenance schedule and the vessel’s needs. 
• Provide mentorship and training to other staff members including training drills.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Foster a culture of ocean conservation and sustainable diving practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid US Coast Guard Captain’s License ( 25 ton OUPV or higher).
• Certified Padi Instructor, with current teaching status.
• Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. 
• Exceptional boat handling and navigational skills.
• Strong knowledge of dive safety procedures and emergency response.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for marine conservation and commitment to eco-friendly practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, occasional night dives, and holidays.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the dive sites and marine life of St. Croix or the Caribbean.
• Equipment technician certification.
• Experience with reef restoration or ocean conservation initiatives.
