About the role

We are seeking Divemasters with a passion for ocean conservation and a high level of customer service.  Prefer sales experience/fill station experience for a busy South Florida CDC Center.  **Must be US citizen or have US work VISA.**

About Pura Vida Divers 

Founded in 2002, Pura Vida Divers is a PADI 5 Star CDC dive center on Singer Island in South Florida.  We offer daily scuba charters aboard two dive vessels, scuba instruction from beginner to professional, and a full service shop featuring retail sales, equipment service, rentals, and a complete fill station.  Our love of diving, the ocean, conservation, education, and community inspires us every day to offer the best possible experience to our guests.

Job Description:  Participate in Pura Vida Divers programs, events and activities.  Generate sales of diver education programs, dive equipment, accessories and other merchandise through excellent customer service.  Operate a busy tank fill station.  Guide groups of divers along the local reefs and wrecks.

Location & Commitments

• Ability to commute / relocate to the Palm Beaches area, South Florida…Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Permanent full time position
• Weekend shifts required
• Support of the dive equipment sold through the shop required
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening

Candidate requirements

• Customer service focused with excellent interpersonal skills.  Must be willing and able to work in a collaborative team environment with a diverse group of customers and team members.
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Organizational ability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities.
• Overall understanding of computer operations and internet applications
• Must be currently insured and renewed with PADI
• Must be a PADI Divemaster or equivalent and current in CPR/First Aid
• Physical Requirements: work in various physical environments and conditions and ability to carry scuba tanks and equipment repeatedly.
