POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of the development of its activities in Mexico, DUNE Mexico – Playa del Carmen is recruiting an Operations Manager / Base Leader.

This key position involves overseeing all daily operations of the dive center, coordinating field teams, and ensuring the quality of the services delivered to our clients.

The role is primarily office-based, with a central responsibility in organizing and managing operational activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily operational management of the dive center from the office
• Planning and supervising dive schedules (Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, cenotes)
• Coordinating and supervising field teams (instructors, drivers, logistics)
• Managing operational contingencies: weather, equipment, transport, staff absences
• Managing the fleet of vehicles and equipment (pickups, van, boat)
• Implementing and monitoring safety standards and internal procedures
• Coordinating with booking, administration/accounting teams, and management
• Quality control of operations and handling client feedback

PROFILE

• Mandatory experience as a diving instructor (minimum PADI OWSI)
• Strong knowledge of Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, and cenote dive sites is highly appreciated
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong operational vision and ability to anticipate needs
• Autonomy, leadership, and the ability to make quick decisions
• Fluency in French, English, and Spanish (mandatory)
• High availability, particularly during high season
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and operational discipline
