Dive Friends Bonaire is looking for a proactive, structured and improvement-oriented Planning agent to strengthen our team and help us evolve our planning and reservations processes.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our operations run efficiently by developing and maintaining staff and resource schedules, optimizing workflows, and collaborating closely with our Reservations team. You’ll bring fresh energy to how we plan, communicate, and operate, helping shape a more effective and future-ready way of working.

What will you do?

As our Planning Agent, you’ll oversee and continuously improve the planning and coordination of our dive operations, retail outlets, and support teams.

• Develop, implement, and adjust weekly and long-term staff schedules based on operational needs, reservations, and customer demand.
• Collaborate closely with the Reservations team to ensure planning aligns with bookings, guest volumes, and special events.
• Gain a full understanding of reservations processes to better anticipate operational needs and ensure seamless coordination between departments.
• Identify inefficiencies in current planning and reservation workflows, proposing and implementing improvements to make processes more structured, transparent, and efficient.
• Communicate schedules and updates clearly to managers and staff, ensuring everyone has the information they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Act as a bridge between operational teams and management, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks and suggesting practical solutions.
• Support the development of digital tools and reporting methods for planning and forecasting.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an organized, forward-thinking, and confident professional who enjoys optimizing processes and bringing structure to a busy operation.

What do you bring or have:

• Proven knowledge of the diving industry and PADI standards Dive Master certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or operations coordination experience in hospitality, diving, or tourism is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust plans quickly when needed.
• A process improvement mindset you’re not afraid to question “how it’s always been done” and introduce better ways of working.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills enabling you to work effectively with the Reservations team and operational staff.
• Confidence to lead change and gain buy-in from experienced colleagues even when implementing new methods or technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning/scheduling tools.
• The Dutch or US nationality due to immigration processes we will not consider candidates with other nationalities, except if they are already living on Bonaire and have a valid work permit.
