Job Description
TGI is seeking a highly sophisticated, value-driven Manager to lead our world-class diving, water sports, in a luxury island Resort in the Maldives. Moving far beyond recreational diving, our property delivers flawlessly executed itineraries for high-net-worth individuals, and Guests who demand zero-failure execution.
This is a senior department head position requiring a rare blend of elite diving expertise, robust business acumen, and impeccable 5-star hospitality diplomacy. Reporting directly to the HQ team, you will hold full operational and strategic accountability for your department. You will work in seamless alignment with the Resort Front Office, Guest Relations, and private Villa Host (Butler) teams to choreograph unforgettable guest journeys.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Elite guest relations & experience coordination: Overhaul and orchestrate daily dive, snorkel, and excursion programs at 5-star benchmarks.

Inter-Departmental diplomacy & synergy: Act as a proactive, collaborative liaison with the Resort’s Villa Host (Butler) department. Anticipate dynamic schedule changes gracefully, respect established guest timelines, and view the Butler team as vital partners in curating the guest experience.

Strategic Team leadership & mentorship: Lead, mentor, and inspire an international team of instructors, water sports attendants, and local boat crews. Foster an on-property culture defined by absolute humility, high emotional intelligence (EQ), uncompromising safety standards, and meticulous resort grooming compliance.

Commercial & fiscal management: Take full P&L ownership of the base. Direct all administrative operations, retail inventory optimization, pricing structures, asset lifecycle maintenance, and strict compliance with local Maldivian laws and PADI regulations.

Cross-functional program innovation: Continuously diversify the excursion profile.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

PADI Professional Credentials: Active, renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) status or higher with an immaculate, unblemished quality assurance history.

Current Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor certification.

Luxury background: A minimum of 2–3 years of proven management experience operating within a 5-Star Resort, luxury private island, or premium superyacht charter environment. Remote island operational experience is highly advantageous.

Diplomatic communication & presence: Flawless command of written and spoken English. Must possess the poise, vocabulary, and emotional maturity to conduct high-level operational briefings comfortably in front of Senior Leadership and General Manager.

Languages: Fluency in a secondary language highly relevant to luxury travel demographics (e.g., Russian, German, Mandarin, or Italian) is heavily prioritized but not strictly necessary.

Systems & administrative literacy: proficiency in POS systems, digital asset management, cost-benefit analysis, and performance metrics tracking.
