Our Divemaster Internship in Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique, is designed for divers who want more than just a certification. This is a hands-on, immersive experience where you become part of a busy working dive center, learning what it truly means to be a professional diver while gaining confidence, leadership skills, and practical experience in the ocean every day.

Based at a PADI 5-Star IDC & Eco Center in the beautiful Ponta do Ouro Marine Protected Area, this internship combines professional dive training, conservation exposure, and real dive center operations.

You will work closely with experienced instructors and mentors, assisting with courses, learning dive logistics, improving your watermanship, and developing the skills needed to confidently guide and supervise certified divers.

What the internship includes:

• Full PADI Divemaster training and certification
• Daily diving and practical ocean experience (weather dependent)
• Real dive center experience in a professional working environment
• Assisting instructors during recreational and training dives
• Learning dive planning, briefings, supervision, and diver safety
• Dive site setup, equipment preparation, and cylinder handling
• Exposure to compressor room operations and day-to-day dive center logistics
• Underwater navigation, mapping, problem solving, and diver management skills
• Conservation-focused activities and marine awareness through our PADI Eco Center philosophy
• Mentorship and professional development from experienced dive professionals

This is not a classroom-style course or a work exchange ,  it is a structured, professional internship designed to help you grow from a confident recreational diver into a capable dive leader.

Whether your goal is to become a Divemaster, continue toward Instructor level, or simply spend a few months fully immersed in the diving lifestyle, this program offers real experience in one of Mozambique’s most exciting diving destinations.
