Gozo Azul Diving, a PADI 5-Star IDC and Eco Center based in Ponta do Ouro, is offering a structured career development internship for divers who are serious about progressing into the professional side of the dive industry.

Please note: This is a training internship, not a job offer or paid position. This program is designed for divers who want to gain real-world experience, mentorship, and professional-level training while working toward their certifications.

Our internship is ideal for divers aiming to become:
• PADI Divemasters
• Future PADI Instructors
• Confident, employable dive professionals

What we offer

Our internship provides hands-on experience in the daily operations of a busy professional dive center, with direct mentorship from experienced instructors.

During the program, candidates will gain practical experience in:
• Assisting with dive operations and student training
• Guiding certified divers
• Dive site mapping and underwater navigation
• Emergency readiness and rescue skills
• Equipment handling and gear preparation
• Cylinder fills and compressor procedures
• Customer service and reception duties
• Professional dive center workflow and logistics

This is not just about earning a certification — it is about developing the skills, mindset, and professionalism required to succeed in the diving industry.

Training opportunities available

Depending on your current certification level, we offer multiple pathways, including:
• Divemaster Internship (8–12 weeks)
• Zero to Pro Program (Open Water to Divemaster)
• IDC Preparation

• PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox)
• Deep Diver
• Shark Conservation / Shark AWARE

Minimum requirements for Divemaster candidates

• Minimum age: 18
• Certified Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
• EFR / CPR & First Aid within 24 months
• Medical clearance for diving
• Minimum 40 logged dives to start
• Minimum 60 logged dives for certification
